Building an Executable Validation Framework

Understanding customer attention requires more than observing where people look. It also requires understanding how movement, spatial context, and retail environments influence customer behavior.

Following the completion of the planning stage, the HV05 project is now focused on developing an executable validation framework for Display Placement Optimization.

The objective of this phase is to establish a practical framework for evaluating how display placement influences customer attention in real retail environments. Rather than relying on advanced technologies or automated systems, the project emphasizes practical field validation through structured observation.

The current validation framework is designed around several key principles:

• Maintaining consistent display content while comparing different placement locations.

• Observing customer attention within natural movement patterns.

• Recording behavioral responses under realistic retail conditions.

• Establishing a repeatable field testing process for future validation activities.

This approach enables the project to build practical evidence before introducing more advanced technologies or additional technical complexity. By focusing on realistic operational testing, HV05 creates a foundation for future field validation and the continuous refinement of retail display strategies.
